Unsurprisingly, after failing a 2025 release date, even an early 2026 release for Grand Theft Auto VI was stamped out. Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick is “highly confident” in this new release window late into next year.
Speaking to IGN, Zelnick explained that it’s rare for this to happen and then wags their fingers at competition as some sort of cautionary tale situation, saying “bad things happen” when their competitors release their games before they’re ready.
And at the same time, there have been limited circumstances where more time was required to polish a title and make sure that it was spectacular and that time has been well-spent, when our competitors go to market before something was ready, bad things happen. That said, that said, I’m highly confident on the new date.”
Rockstar dropped the “bombshell” just yesterday that GTA VI was getting delayed again to further polish the title. Of course, people have the right to be wary of just how much they’re moving the goalpost, especially with how much hype has encompassed this entry not just from Rockstar themselves but fans, too. That said, you all know the saying…
“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad. “
So, do you think this will be the last GTA VI delay or are we looking at another change in release? Let us know below!
