Sucker Punch Director “Would Love To” Work On A New Infamous Game

Sucker Punch Productions co-creative director Nate Fox would love to release the Infamous trilogy to modern hardware, but the studio is too busy with Ghost of Yotei. Considering the other IPs Sucker Punch has left for dead over the years, though, we have doubts Sony would let them return to it.

In an interview with Game Informer, Fox, who is working on Ghost of Yotei, confirmed that he would love to see the trilogy rerelease and work on more of the series. He’s directed the Infamous series since its debut in 2009 on the PS3.

I would love to work on more Infamous. I would love to see a trilogy rerelease, but Sucker Punch is a one game at a time shop, and right now we are very focused on finishing Ghost of Yōtei.

Unfortunately, we have doubts Sucker Punch will be let out of this loop of aesthetically pleasing, narrative-driven games without some big shift in PlayStation’s model. Sure, we had Astro Bot do big numbers and win awards, but we’ll forever have that sinking feeling that Sony’s era of first-party non-narrative-focused titles are behind their platform.

What do you think? Would you love to see a rerelease of Infamous? Let us know below!
