John LittleOn November 17, Nintendo confirmed that The Legend of Zelda had began production. This followed from viral social media posts where people spotted filming taking place in New Zealand.
Currently Sony is going to distribute the film. Wes Ball is confirmed to direct, with Miyamoto and Avi Arad producing. T.S. Nowin wrote the screenplay, and took over from Derek Connolly.
The film is currently scheduled to release on May 7 2027.
