RAIDOU Remastered Brings Cult Classic Detective RPG Back In Style This June

Mark your calendars: RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is set to return on June 19, 2025, breathing new life into one of the PlayStation 2’s most beloved cult classics. Originally released as Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army, this remastered edition brings the stylish detective-action RPG to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Set in an alternate Taishō-era Tokyo, players step into the role of Raidou Kuzunoha, a devil summoner and detective tasked with investigating strange supernatural phenomena.

The game features real-time battles against demons and now introduces a host of upgrades that go far beyond just visual polish. The remaster includes enhanced HD visuals, full voice acting in both English and Japanese, and an overhauled combat system that now allows players to summon and control two demons simultaneously. New mechanics like MAG Drain and Spirit Slash, along with the ability to summon over 120 demons, deepen the tactical options during battle. Improved summoning and fusion systems add further refinement for longtime fans and newcomers alike. Players can also tailor their experience with a range of difficulty settings, including the challenging “Detective Legend” mode, which unlocks after completing the game once. On the quality-of-life side, the remaster introduces autosave, quicksave, and an expanded save system to ensure a smoother gameplay experience.

The Deluxe Edition will include bonus content such as the “Kuzunoha Village Training” DLC, the “Demons of the Aril Rift” pack, and other digital extras. Pre-ordering the game will also net players a stylish in-game accessory: the “Raidou Glasses,” inspired by Taishō-era fashion. RAIDOU Remastered is shaping up to be the definitive way to experience this occult-themed RPG classic – perfect for fans of Shin Megami Tensei, vintage RPGs, and noir-infused supernatural storytelling.
