And we had certainly hoped Naughty Dog would be one of the first teams to start looking forward. The good news is that according to a job listing for a Character Artist, Naughty Dog is definitely looking into the upcoming generation. The successful applicant will help create "next-gen games" and will also be responsible for making "million-poly models game-ready." If you're wondering, the number of polygons in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves characters was around 80,000.
We have no idea what this mystery project could be, but we're definitely excited. How can we not be? The premier cutting-edge developer of this generation working on something for future technology? A million polygons per character? Heck, and we thought The Last Of Us was something pretty damn amazing.
There's only one thing left to do at this point: wait for Sony to unveil the PS4. …can't be too far off.
