If you're looking for a solid horror thrill with a twist, check this out:
Developer Bloober Time has confirmed that its narrative-driven, first-person "psychedelic horror game" Layers of Fear is coming to PlayStation 4. If you're wondering, it's already available on Xbox One and PC.
The premise involves a bat-sh** artist living in the Victoria Era, and players will experience a very dark and disturbed story regarding this guy's past. Essentially, it's a "madness-engulfed insane painter striving to create the work of his life," and his psychosis is causing some serious problems. The supernatural events of the "constantly shifting" house makes for a surreal and challenging environment.
Layers of Fear is scheduled to arrive on February 16 for PS4. By the way, Bloober Team is the studio that gave us the shockingly bad Basement Crawl and then took it upon themselves to fix their mistake. They remade the game from the ground up and called it BRAWL . The result wasn't masterful but Crawl owners got the vastly improved product for free, so that's a feather in this developer's cap.
