Well, maybe you're all playing Fallout 4 .
According to the results of our latest poll, the majority of PSXE readers had no interest in purchasing Star Wars: Battlefront last week.
Maybe that shouldn't be too surprising, though; we've never had a huge number of shooter aficionados around here. In fact, these results are almost identical to when we asked if you'd be getting Black Ops III . However, it's worth noting that in each case, the second-largest responding group said they were absolutely getting the game in question on launch day. Sure, a lot more said they had zero interest but there are a few who obviously love such multiplayer experiences.
This week, what do you think about the big news from last week concerning PS4 backwards compatibility for PS2 games ? Is it what you've been waiting for all this time? Need to hear more about it? Don't care at all? Let us know.

Gotta have that B/c, and judging by the lowish comments I think we r all deep in FO4.
What was that nonsense people were saying about Witcher having better characters? Piper… gddddrowl!
Yep haha got them both but havent touched swbf since the day of release, god fallout is great.
I picked up battlefront but missed the poll so add 1 more to getting it.
As far as b/c goes i love it but only if i end up being able to play the games i enjoyed on those systems. For instance PlayStation Now offers maybe 2 or 3 games i would want to play the other 245+ games i either have zero interest in or already have.
I picked it up (day 1) as well. My childhood dreams are currently being fulfilled *tears*
I have all Playstation consoles and don't even use them. So not interested in b/c at all.
Now I kept the games if they want to make us once again re buy them when we already own them I'm deffo not interested.
I could take those off your hands for ya.
I actually said I wasn't buying it yet in the poll, since I rarely ever buy games new at full price. I almost always wait.
However, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I caved this weekend and bought it anyway. In half a day day I logged more hours online gaming than I've played cumulatively in my entire life prior. I'm bummed there's no single player campaign, but I'm having a blast with the X-Wing/Tie Fighter dog fights. I still suck at FPS'ing so I'm getting my ass kicked in the other modes, but I'll get better.
I think you're review was spot on Ben. They nailed the atmosphere and environments in this game. Despite the fact I'm not an FPS gamer, I'm a long time Star Wars fan and I'm really enjoying Battlefront.
And that's all that matters right? Actual enjoyment of said product. This is proof DICE hit their goal. Pick up and play games shouldn't be bashed. I could easily recommend SWB to a friend, but never Fallout or the Witcher. Long somewhat complex games that take forever to complete. Accessibility has its place. Both genres complexity and lack of can only be appreciated if both exist.
Great point, FM23, I second that.
We need that B/C and we need it to play discs. Such an emulator would devastate anybody's argument that owning the original console is enough. You know the games look like turds without acceleration. Or if you don't know that, then run a PS1 or PS2 game on the top emulator on your PC. Yes it draws out a lot more detail that those systems couldn't extract from their own games due to the way PS hardware was once made.
