Sony has made it plain that they will stick with the PlayStation Vita. And the PlayStation 4 can help promote the portable.
According to a Digital Foundry report , Sony requires that developers making PS4 games must include support for the Vita's Remote Play feature.
The only games that don't have to adhere to this mandate are those that utilize the PlayStation Eye. This info comes from a "trusted PlayStation 4 developer source with a proven track record," so it's probably reliable. And if it's true, this could really improve the Vita's library, which many consumers have been hoping for. Remote Play on PS4 is more efficient than it was on PS3, too, as developers can use the function without making sacrifices based on the speed of their software.
We'll certainly learn more about the PS4 at E3 in a few weeks.
