As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the Ratchet & Clank re-imagining for PlayStation 4 has been delayed until 2016.
Said Insomniac Games chief brand officer Ryan Schneider:
"While you might have to wait a bit longer than expected, rest assured we're using the time wisely to further polish the game to a spit-shine level, with dazzling shader response, awe-inspiring effects, velvety smooth animations, and spectacular new gameplay segments. Really, we can’t wait to show it to you."
The animated movie has also been delayed until next year; the new release date is April 29, 2016. Don't forget that Insomniac always wanted to release the updated original alongside this movie, which is designed to expand upon the classic game's narrative.
As for the upgraded version of Ratchet & Clank , it will boast brand new levels and retooled locations. Fans will also be able to experiment with new weapons, which is a big deal 'cuz Insomniac makes the bestest video game weapons ever .

Them's folks are likely working on something more than just a Ratchet remake right now. They need to spill the beans at E3 next month.
