Ben-DutkaSony says thank you…and we kinda got all teary-eyed.
Last week, Sony teased the world by giving us a peek at an upcoming announcement. Well, as it turns out, the announcement involved that very video…we were only seeing the first part of it.
The full unveiling is below and at the PlayStation Blog . Remember when Sony asked you to submit a gamer photo and they promised you a mystery reward ? Well, it's right here. They made their selection and the lucky gamer, "Michael," has been toasted by most every major PlayStation character of the generation.
Michael is the first of "a dozen or so die-hard gamers" that will represent PlayStation Nation in a new Long Live Play campaign. That campaign will hit national TV on October 5; i.e., today. That's right, Michael and anyone else selected will see their picture "up in lights," so-to-speak; this video here makes everyone jealous. How awesome is that ?
The casting is just fantastic in this video, don't you think? Also, they say they loaded it with PlayStation Easter Eggs, some of which aren't immediately obvious. So watch it a few times to catch 'em all. This has to be one of the coolest promotions we've seen.
