Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerGod of War loves to make its weapons notable and akin to the ones you’d see in the mythology it surrounds itself in, and it seems like the rumored next entry, which will supposedly lean into Egyptian mythology, is going to be no different.
According to Tom Henderson during Insider Gaming Weekly, Kratos will be hanging up the axe in favor of an Egyptian sword. Not much else was shared, but he did express the sword would be akin to the sword seen in Prince of Persia, meaning Kratos will likely be wielding a scimitar.
Beyond this, though, Kratos has his hands full with a rumored metroidvania spin-off in the works gunning for next year.
