Jason DittonHonestly, there was a lot announced at this year’s The Game Awards, and this contributor is tired as all heck. However, it would be video game journalism malpractice to not call attention to, at minimum, the brand new Mega Man title that was announced towards the end of the show. Indeed, much to everyone’s surprise, yours truly included, the Blue Bomber dropped a trailer for the next new entry in the long-running mainline series, and announced a Robot Master Design contest.
There is no proper release date quite yet, only that it’s set to release in 2027, for the PS4/5, Xbox, Switch 1 and 2, and Steam. Also probably still before Grand Theft Auto VI, after that’s likely delayed yet again, considering they’re presently under investigation by the United Kingdom’s government for potential union busting (via GizNewsDaily) after a Bloomberg report on the matter earlier this year.
