Just a little over a year after its initial release on two consoles and the PC, the Marvel-focused compilation title, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, has surpassed a million units sold. It’s undoubtedly assisted by its half a year after on the PS4 and Xbox One, but there is currently no per-system breakdown of individual sales numbers.
It has tentatively surpassed sales of Street Fighter Alpha 3 as of late, and this contributor is uncertain whether to include it’s sales with the stand-alone sales of Marvel vs Capcom 2: Age of New Heroes. If this contributor does, the aforementioned title nearly surpasses Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, which has somehow sold over 2.5 million copies over it’s lifetime, and beats both versions of Marvel vs Capcom 3, which each sold 2.2 million as of June of this year.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is available on the Xbox One, PC, Switch and PS4/PS5. It’s just slightly over four days past its ‘birth’day as of this writing, although it’s probably better to note that it was originally released September 12, 2024.
