Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerNaughty Dog bigwig Neil Druckmann is very much hyped for players to get their hands on the studio’s next big game and their first new IP in some time, Intergalactic.
Speaking to Variety, he expressed how this game is really the studio’s most ambitious and most expansive game they’ve ever made. We already know it has some pretty deep gameplay, especially by Naughty Dog’s norm. It’s also possibly the most expensive game they’ve ever made, too.
“We’re making it, we’re playing it. We’re firing on all cylinders. I’ve said this before, but I really mean it, I’m really feeling it right now: It’s the most ambitious game we’ve ever made. It’s the most expansive game we’ve ever made, maybe the most expensive, by the time we finish it.”
The previous game to hold that mantle at Naughty Dog was The Last of Us Online, which was canned back in late 2023 after constant assurances that it was still in the works.
Intergalactic still lacks a concrete release date, but it seems to be gunning for a release after March 2026.
