Enhance Games’ Humanity is about to get a bit less content, as the studio reveals plans to scrub online services from the game early next year. The 2023 puzzle game featured user stages as its sole online feature.
Already, users aren’t able to share new stages or play other peoples’ stages, but are able to play on stages they’ve already created and saved locally.
While they refrained from sharing a reason, we suspect the service has tapered off and not as many people are sharing new things, meaning it’s just collecting dust and costing them money to host. Overall, in the last two and a half years, though, the community has created over 30,000 stages.
The User Stages mode will be officially put offline at the end of March 2026.
