Sony’s continued efforts to chase the live service trend just continues to be more and more of a troubling idea. Despite the failure of Concord, they’re still seemingly keeping Fairgame$, a live service shooter from Haven Studio, afloat alongside a drive to keep making live service games. Its director, however, is no longer on board.
In a pretty unceremonious announcement on LinkedIn, game director Daniel Drapeau has left Haven Studio to become WB Games Montreal’s latest creative director. This comes not too long after studio founder Jade Raymond departed earlier in the year.
To be clear, as it stands, there is no sign of Fairgame$ getting canned, but reports surfacing claiming it “doesn’t feel good to play” alongside the pioneers for the studio leaving will no doubt lead to some issues down the line.
