Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerIt seems Hideo Kojima’s love for films isn’t satiated with Death Stranding just getting one adaptation, as an “adult-targeting” animated feature is in the works. The feature will be animated by Line Mileage, which has their hands in other IP-focused projects.
Deadline reports of the feature, which will be inked by Aaron Guzikowski. The animated film will not rehash the story, instead offering a new one set within the Death Stranding world. On the topic of the movie, Guzikowski called the world “so creatively freeing” and that he’s honored to be working with Kojima.
“I love the world of Death Stranding, it’s so creatively freeing, so beautifully dark and yet hopeful; I’m so excited and honored that Hideo Kojima, whose work I’ve long admired, has invited me to dwell within his creation, to birth new stories into this fertile, mind-bending universe.”
