It wasn’t all that long ago that developer TeamKill Media treated gamers to an extended trailer for their upcoming dinosaur horror game, Code Violet. The third-person horror game would put players in the shoes of the title heroine, Violet Sinclair, as she fends off dinosaurs while navigating the 25th-century bioengineering complex.
The game was confirmed to release on November 14, 2025, but following the news that Activision’s AAA shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 would be sharing the same release date, the team has decided to postpone the launch until the following month, with the game now releasing on December 12, 2025. The studio announced the news on X with a post explaining the decision.
It’s not uncommon for studios to shift the release of their games, especially when you factor in that the indie studio would be competing with one of the year’s biggest games. Acknowledging the delay, the studio stated that they are still committed to working on the title in the interim, informing gamers that they’ll be enhancing character models and polishing the game. As a bonus, the studio confirmed that all players will receive two additional Christmas-themed outfits celebrating the new festive release window.
