Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Topples 4.4 Million

Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has surpassed 4.4 million sales since its launch back in April.

As reported by Clips du Lundi (via Gamereactor), the French turn-based narrative adventure surpassed the milestone, though, the official numbers remain 3.3 million. In somewhat of a poetic thing, the game peddled three million in its first 33 days on the market. Frankly, we wouldn’t be surprised if Sandfall’s adventure manages to push through to five million by the end of the year, but that’s also a huge maybe.

In our review of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, contributor Sam DeLong said: “Clair Obsur: Expedition 33 is a marvel of a video game. A game-changing, genre-bending masterpiece. It serves as a testament to the passion of what can be accomplished by a talented team, rivaling the efforts of giant monolith publishers that have three times the budget and resources. It converted me into seeking out other turn-based experiences, but this excellent game may have spoiled me.”
