Ben-DutkaJRPG fans have always been able to turn to NIS America and now, four new anime-inspired, in-depth titles have been announced.
The first is Disgaea: Netherworld Unbound for Android, and it'll release some time this winter. The second is Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 for the PlayStation 3, a sequel to this year's colorful and spirited RPG, and this will launch in 2012. The other two titles also have a vague 2012 release date; one is Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention for the PlayStation Vita and a new IP called Clan of Champions (working title) for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The latter is interesting: it's being developed by Acquire Corp. and is called a "hardcore multiplayer action game." You choose from 3 characters (human, elf, or orc), and accept missions; you can play by yourself or in co-op mode with a couple friends. There's even a 3-on-3 battle mode where you can fight with and against other people online. Lastly, they're preparing a bunch of DLC for additional quests, items, and weapons. The adventure includes customization of characters and weapon specialization.
Not used to seeing NIS produce anything for the Xbox 360 or PC? Neither are we. But maybe it was inevitable.
