Kojima Team Seeking Help For “Next Generation” MGS

While we still don't know exactly what Hideo Kojima plans to do next, we know his Kojima Productions team has to push forward with the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

As reported by Andriasang , the team is hiring for the "Next Generation Metal Gear Solid Series Production Staff," according to a new job listing at Konami's Japanese site. For programming, they're asking for people with experience on all major platforms (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC) and for graphics, they want applicants who are interested in "conducting research into next generation CG." Now, MGS4 was exclusive to the PS3 but like so many third-party franchises, the next iteration may indeed be multiplatform; we can't forget about Metal Gear Solid: Rising , which is in development for both the PS3 and 360. Kojima is often very cryptic so we're never really sure about his definite intentions, but one Tweet last year may have hinted at MGS5:

"Had our first meeting for the next 'A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME' with the core team members today. Some member are also participating on 'RISING' so 10 people total this time. We will have a meeting every morning to discuss planning, testing, research, and scouting. An open environment to talk about important issues and share our dreams and concept for the project."

Later, he said he'd either make MGS5 or an "original game," although he never came clean about his decision. Many have hoped to hear about a new Zone of the Enders , which has apparently been on the back burner for a while , and others have hoped the mastermind would turn his attention to something entirely new. Well, either way, we do need the next Metal Gear Solid , right? We still have a lot of questions but perhaps we'll get some answers this year…
