The music/rhythm genre took a huge hit in 2009, which is why publishers have greatly scaled back in 2010. Still, we'll get Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Rock Band 3 later this year and there's little doubt that the legion of interactive music followers still exists. According to GameSpot citing Swedish news site DN.se, Queen guitarist Brian May appears to have prematurely announced Activision's new band-specific title. When asked, May confirmed Guitar Hero: Queen but wouldn't provide any further details; he only said the game is scheduled to release some time in 2011 and players will be able to participate in the band's concerts. This reminds us of the time May mentioned the possibility of a Rock Band title dedicated to the band but perhaps they opted for Guitar Hero instead. In the meantime, we'll just wait for the official announcement from Activision. It probably isn't too far off now.
