Bandai Namco Trademarks “Slashy Souls”

Yes, I agree, it's a terribly stupid name.

But anything related to Bandai Namco's hugely successful Souls franchise (from Demon's Souls to Dark Souls ) is bound to get attention.

This is why we figure fans of the series will be interested in the company's latest trademark. As spotted by Gematsu , Bandai Namco has filed a trademark application with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for something called "Slashy Souls." It's labeled as a video game but that's about all we know right now.

Gematsu believes it could be a mobile installment in the aforementioned series, which sounds about right. That would explain the dumb name. But it's also interesting to note they've applied for a trademark for "Thousand Storm," and there's no word on what that might be, either.

Does anyone think a mobile version of these games would be any good at all ? Just wondering.
