NIS America Reveals Trio Of JRPGs Exclusively For PS3

It's a trio of JRPGs from one of the most respected and reliable publishers for fans of the niche genre. Gotta love it.

NIS America has announced no less than three new JRPGs: Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness , Time and Eternity , and The Guided Fate Paradox . Intriguing names all.

Disgaea D2 is set to launch this fall for the PlayStation 3 in North America and Europe, and the title celebrates Nippon Ichi Software's 20th year and the franchise's 10th. Your favorite characters will return – Laharl, Etna, and Flonne – in a "completely new and original storyline," and the game will boast various upgrades and refinements. Other key features include enhanced customization (completely revamped character creation, for example), a new Master/Pupil System, and the triumphant return of the Item World and Geo Panels. For strategy/RPG fans, this series has always delivered hundreds of hours of entertainment.

Time and Eternity will also be an exclusive PS3 title, and it'll hit North America and Europe this summer. The game includes a "brand-new style of hand-drawn animation" and the story is interesting- You will witness your own death at your wedding, and then you will travel back in time to track down the killer. The setting is Kamza, a lush ocean island and other great features include controlling time, real-time battle (dubbed "lightning-quick"), and the ability to wield all sorts of weapons, including swords and guns.

The Guided Fate Paradox is another fall title set for the PS3, and this one is the spiritual successor to Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger Vs. Darkdeath Evilman . This new effort features a "memorable cast of characters and story, tons of customization, and seemingly infinite replayability." Players will assume the role of high school student Renya Kagurazaka, who has somehow become a god by winning a lottery. …yeah, appropriately bizarre. The game will boast in-depth customization, 3D randomly generated dungeons, fantastic artwork by Noizi Ito (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya), and high-res 3D sprites.

So if you're a hardcore JRPG lover, NIS America definitely has you covered in 2013. …Square who?
