Guitar Hero Developer Now Helping Out With Call Of Duty

Well sure, that makes sense. Music and skateboarding experience is always a prerequisite for developing first-person shooters.

…oh, we're just kidding around, Neversoft. We're sure you guys will be a great asset. A few readers have pointed us in the direction of the developer's newly updated website because they were a little amused at the following: The Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk developer has joined a bunch of other studios in assisting on Activision's blockbuster Call of Duty franchise. Activision's tapping everyone!

They weren't specific as to which CoD and we're assuming it's the upcoming Black Ops II , but it could also be the spin-off effort in development now at Sledgehammer Games. At any rate, Neversoft joins Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Raven Software as teams that have worked on the ever-popular CoD series:

"We have molded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the first-person action genre in support of Activision's Call of Duty franchise."

There are eight new positions available at the Woodland Hills location, too, so if you're in the area and you're looking for a job in the industry, check it out. Of course, there are all sorts of jokes and puns to be made…like, "So whatcha makin'? 'Call of Ditty'? HA! Get it?" But we won't do that. …okay, what I mean is, we won't do it again.
